Where to archive data
This page contains information about where oceanographic data should be archived for long term storage and preservation. New entries will be added as we learn of them.
ADCP -- Submit ADCP data to JASADCP.
Julia "Jules" Hummon is the person we associate with the processing (as of 2/2009).
Biogeochemical field data funded by NASA’s Ocean Biology and Biogeochemistry (OB&B) program are to be submitted to SeaBASS.
NODC has provisions to take Biological Data. The process is just a little less well known and perhaps not as well supported. For both the hydrographic data and the biological data, NODC is the recognized place to archive it. [Per email 9/14/2009 0920] Contact NODC at
